Veteran Hindi cinema actor Satish Shah, who brought laughter to people’s faces, passed away at the age of 74 at his residence in Bandra East this afternoon. He had been suffering from kidney disease for some time and had recently undergone a kidney transplant. Bollywood and TV stars arrived for his last rites. Friends, co-stars and family members who bid farewell to Satish were all emotional. His last rites were performed in Mumbai today, Sunday.
Many celebrities including Anjan Srivastava, Deven Bhojani and Johnny Lever also arrived to bid farewell to Satish Shah. During this, many stars were seen emotional.
Director David Dhawan also reached the crematorium to pay his last respects to Satish Shah.
Speaking to the media, actor Jamnadas Majithia said, ‘He was absolutely fine. We had come to meet him yesterday but could not meet him.’ Many celebrities had reached to pay their last respects. Actresses Poonam Dhillon, Supriya Pathak, Pankaj Kapoor and many other celebrities also reached to pay their last respects to Satish Shah.
Choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan also reached to pay her last respects to Satish Shah. During this, Farah looked very sad.
Satish Shah’s on-screen wife Ratna Pathak Shah, who had reached to pay her last respects, was also seen very emotional. She was seen crying. Her husband and actor, Naseeruddin Shah, was seen standing nearby and consoling her.
Veteran actor Sudhir Pandey attended the last rites of Satish Shah. Hasmukh Shah, known as Rupali Ganguly’s father-in-law in the serial Anupama, also arrived.
