Russia tests world’s most ‘dangerous’ missile

  • Missile capable of carrying nuclear weapons wakes up NATO
  • Russia’s drone attack on Kiev for the second consecutive day: Three dead, 29 injured including seven children: Two residential areas caught fire
  • Burevestnik missile covered a distance of 14,000 km and remained active in the air for 15 hours
  • This missile flies at an altitude of 50-100 meters, so it is not detected by radar

Russia has successfully completed the test of its most advanced nuclear-powered cruise missile, Burevestnik. Since this missile is dependent on nuclear energy, it can cover unlimited distances and has the facility to carry nuclear weapons. This missile is among the most dangerous missiles in the world and Russia’s successful test has deprived NATO countries of sleep. During the test, the missile covered a distance of 14,000 kilometers and remained in the air for about 15 hours.

According to Putin, the 9M730 Burevestnik (Storm Petrel), which NATO has named SSC-X-9 Skyfall, is invincible against current and future missile defense systems. Normal missiles stop when they run out of fuel, but since this missile is powered by nuclear energy, it can fly continuously for weeks and months. It flies at an altitude of only 50-100 meters, due to which radars cannot track it easily. On the other hand, three people have been killed in drone attacks by Russia on the Ukrainian capital Kiev amid tensions, authorities said in a statement. 29 people, including seven children, were also injured in the attack.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klimenko said that a 19-year-old girl and her 46-year-old mother were among the dead. A Russian drone strike caused fires in two residential areas in the Desniansky district of Kiev.

Emergency teams evacuated residents from 9-story and 16-story buildings. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched 101 drones over Ukraine. Of these, Ukraine shot down 90 drones.

Five drones caused damage in four places. Drone debris fell in five other places. It is worth noting that a day earlier, four people were killed in a missile and drone strike by Russia. Two people from Kiev were involved. After this attack, Ukrainian President Zelensky has once again demanded a Western air defense system.
