Russia has launched its modern nuclear submarine which will be equipped with Poseidon nuclear drone. This drone is also known as ‘Doomsday missile’ and is capable of destroying coastal countries.
This test by Russia has been done at a time when US President Donald Trump recently criticized Russia’s Burevestnik missile test. Russia has also launched a new nuclear submarine carrier of Doomsday drone.
It was launched by Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov at a grand ceremony at the Sevmash shipyard in Severodvinsk. Belousov told a press conference late Saturday that today is an important day for us. The launch of the heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser Khabarovsk is being held at the stern of the famous Sevmash shipyard.
It is worth noting that the Sevmash shipyard had previously modernized the INS Vikramaditya aircraft carrier for India.
According to the Russian news agency TASS, the Russian Defense Minister emphasized that this submarine, equipped with underwater weapons and robotic systems, will enable Russia to ensure the security of its sea borders and protect its national interests in various areas of the world’s oceans.
The Russian Defense Ministry said on its website that the Khabarovsk nuclear submarine was designed by the Rubin, Central Bureau of Marine Engineering and is intended to fulfill the Navy’s missions using modern underwater weapons, including robotic systems, for various purposes.
