Protests in America against Trump’s dictatorship : crowd moves towards US Capitol

Protests are being organized across the country against President Donald Trump’s dictatorship and anti-democratic activities in America. The protesters have named this rally ‘No King’, which clearly shows the public anger against Trump’s rule.

On Saturday, a large number of people joined more than 2600 rallies across the country, including in major cities like Washington, New York City, Chicago and Houston. In Washington, a huge crowd of protesters was seen moving towards the US Capitol (Parliament House) with flags, banners and balloons.

Slogans like “Impeach Trump again” were written on the banners in the hands of the people. The protesters said that they are in support of democracy and are ready to fight for what is right. The protests have been fueled by a number of controversial decisions by the Trump administration, including the alleged criminal prosecution of the president’s political opponents, nationwide immigration raids, and the deployment of the National Guard to American cities. In addition, there has been widespread public anger over the decision to cut grants to prestigious universities over pro-Palestinian demonstrations against Israel’s war in Gaza and other campus controversies.

“I don’t understand where this country is going,” said Daniel Gamez, a former U.S. Marine who participated in a demonstration in Houston. Gamez has served in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria. The protests are not limited to the United States, with demonstrations also being held in capitals around the world.
