Tensions have increased along the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Just hours after the two countries agreed on a 48-hour ceasefire on Friday, the Taliban accused Pakistan of carrying out airstrikes in Afghanistan’s Paktika province.
Pakistan carried out airstrikes targeting several districts of Paktika province near the Durand Line. A total of 10 people, including 3 Afghan cricketers, were killed in this attack. In this matter, the Afghanistan Cricket Board also expressed deep grief over the loss of three cricketers in Pakistan’s airstrike.
The tragic incident took place in Urgun district of Paktika province where a total of 10 people including Afghan cricketers Kabir, Sibgatullah and Haroon were killed in a Pakistani air strike. While many others were injured, many of whom are in critical condition, the death toll is likely to rise.
