Pak. Jafar Express in Balochistan: Attack again, blast, many injured, BRG takes responsibility

Jafar Express has been attacked once again in Balochistan. Several bogies derailed due to the bomb blast in it. Many were injured. This attack was carried out near Sultan Kot, Sindh.

Jafar Express was going from Peshawar, the main city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, to Quetta in Balochistan. After this attack, Baloch rebel group Baloch Republics Guards has taken over. They say that our fight will continue till independence.

A BRG spokesperson issued a press release saying, “We take responsibility for this explosion. Baloch Republic Guards (BRG) fighters targeted the Jafar Express with a remote-controlled IED explosion in Sulan-Kot between Shikarpur and Jacobabad. Several soldiers were killed and many were injured in this explosion. Six coaches of the train derailed.

The Balochistan Republic Guards spokesperson further said, “We take responsibility for the explosion and declare that our struggle will continue until independence.”

This year, the Jafar Express has been attacked several times since March. On September 24, the express was also attacked in the Spijend area of ​​Masung, in which 10 people, including women and children, were injured. Earlier this year, the Majeed Brigade of the Baloch Liberation Army stopped the train, including the Jafar Express, going from Quetta to Peshawar. And more than 400 were kidnapped. On March 11, the train had to be stopped after the tracks were blown up in the Dhabar area near Novan Ghat. Some of the passengers were taken off the train, ID cards of more than 20 were checked and those who were found were shot.

All these attacks are being carried out on the Jafar Express because this train is the most used for transporting government officials or soldiers.
