India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed the most dangerous rocket launcher Pinaka MK3. This rocket is capable of hitting a specific target up to 120 km away. Its testing is going to start soon. This system will prove to be a game changer for the Indian Army and it will give a response to the long-range weapons of neighboring countries like China-Pakistan. Pinaka MK3 is a multi-barrel rocket launcher system. The Pune-based Armament Research and Development Establishment has developed this rocket in collaboration with other laboratories. A total of four rockets have been launched under the Pinaka variant so far, out of which Pinaka MK3 is a dangerous rocket launcher. Talking about the previous variants, India has Pinaka MK1 (target range of 40 km), MK2 (target range of 60-90 km) and Guided Pinaka (target range of 75-90 km) rocket launchers, although Pinaka MK3 is more sophisticated than these three and has the ability to hit targets up to 120 km away. The Pinaka MK4, which has a range of 120 km, has a 250 kg warhead in the front, which is capable of completely destroying the enemy’s command center and logistical bases. It has a large diameter of 300 mm. The sophisticated Pinaka also has the ability to support more fuel and advanced guidance systems. Developed by DRDO, this rocket has a navigation and control kit, laser-gyro navigation, microstrip antenna. It works with existing Pinaka launchers, which does not cost much. Each launcher has 8 guided rockets, which can destroy an area of 700×500 meters in 44 seconds.
