Gaza has been rocked by Israeli airstrikes. Gaza health officials said at least 32 people had died in the airstrikes overnight. Israel launched airstrikes on Gaza amid international pressure for a ceasefire. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is still in favor of continuing the war.

Several people were killed in airstrikes in central and northern Gaza on Saturday (September 27) in their homes. According to an employee at Al-Awda Hospital, nine people from the same family in the Nusseraat refugee camp were killed. The attack came as Netanyahu, addressing the United Nations General Assembly in New York, said, “We want to finish the job against Hamas completely.”

International pressure is mounting on Israel to call a ceasefire. Several countries around the world have recently recognized Palestine as an independent state, which Israel does not accept. United States President Donald Trump has been urged by many countries to pressure Israel to call a ceasefire. On Friday, Trump said in a White House briefing that he hopes the United States is close to an agreement to de-escalate the conflict in Gaza and return hostages.
