Bhansali didn’t give Salman a role in Devdas because of Aishwarya? Music director’s big revelation

Music director Ismail Darbar recently spoke about his feud with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali in an interview. During this, he also mentioned the feud between Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai. In fact, Ismail had worked with Bhansali in many films, including the Salman and Aishwarya Rai starrer film ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’. He also worked in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Devdas’.

Ismail Darbar said in the interview that both the films Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas were hits, but still there was a lot of tension and disagreement during the casting of both the films. Ismail Darbar said that Bhansali cast Shah Rukh Khan instead of Salman Khan in Devdas. This led to a rift between Bhansali and Salman.

When Ismail Darbar was asked if Sanjay Leela Bhansali did not sign Salman in Devdas because of his past relationship with Aishwarya Rai, he said that the news of their fight used to be in the media. We felt very bad. They (Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai) were so close that they did not need to fight. But now it is all in the past. Salman is also so wise that he never talks about it.

Ismail Darbar spoke about the broken relationship between Salman and Bhansali and said that when I needed work, he gave me Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and when he needed me, I left all my work for him. After all, he was my godfather in the industry. My heart tells me that Bhansali’s relationship with Salman soured because he signed Shah Rukh Khan for Devdas. Salman supported him even though ‘Khamoshi’ flopped. So if I help you twice and you cast my rival in the film for the third time, I won’t be angry?
