He also said, ‘If America had not intervened, we would have destroyed Israel.’ Khamenei had been missing for several days after Israel attacked. Khamenei has issued a statement for the first time after the US attack, announcing victory over Israel. Iran’s state news agency IRNA quoted Khamenei as saying, “Despite all the noise and claims, Israel has been destroyed. The attacks by the Islamic regime have completely crushed Israel. America thought that if it did not join the war, Israel would be completely destroyed. America also did not gain anything from the war.” Khamenei did not name Israel, but he addressed it as the “regime of liars and liars.”
